As a former student parent, Ginelle, returns to Cal in a career staff position as the Director of the Student Parent Center. Ginelle completed her B.A. in Social Welfare in 2009 and recieved her Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration and Student Services from University of Southern California in 2011. As a Berkeley student she actively participated in the Incentive Awards Program, Student Parent Association for Recruitment and Retention (SPARR), SAGE Scholars Program, Alternative Spring Break, and was a Chicana/Latina Scholarship recipient. Ginelle is originally from Redwood City, CA and lives in the East Bay with her husband and two daughters.

As a transfer, student parent Cal Alum, who had her first child during her first semester, Ariane is able to empathize and advocate in behalf of a community that she identified with throughout her undergraduate career. As a student, Ariane interned to support the Baby Bears at Cal project, specifically focusing on new and expectant student parent issues such as Title IX discrimination towards expectant student parents, disability rights, and campus climate issues. Ariane was a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship recipient, EOP Achievement Award recipient, and graduated with honors in the spring of 2013 with her B.A. in Sociology. Ariane is a Bay Area native who currently lives with her husband and daughter.

Briana is a recent graduate from UC Berkeley. She entered into Cal with a preschooler, toddler, and expecting her third child. She majored in Sociology and spent a great deal of her time interning and volunteering with the Student Parent Center and various campus committees in order to serve as an advocate for students with dependents. Briana is currently serving as the Student Support Specialist and splits her time between the University Village and Student Parent Center on campus. Her husband is an undergraduate student in American Studies, and they live in the UC Village with their three daughters.
